My name is Susan and I am an Applied Languages graduate from University of Limerick who is very passionate about languages and education.
Work Experience:1 year experience in private tutoring in both Junior and Leaving Certificate. English Language Assistant at I.E.S Mariana Pineda in Granada, Spain. Assisted professors in a secondary school engaging with students aged 11-18 in English. Coordinated oral activities, games, presentations, worksheets and other activities designed to improve English language comprehension and acquisition, as well as global awareness and appreciation. Substitute Tutor at Centro Concertado De Enseñanza La Asunción 'Fun English' in Granada, Spain. 180 Hour Level 5 TEFL Course completed.
Teaching Style:
-Primarily use the CEFR framework to identify level of proficiency: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 through short conversation to get to know the student. Use a variety of teaching methods depending on individual learning style. Conduct needs assessments and design individualized tutoring services according to student needs. I completed my Leaving Certificate in 2018 and I have a deep understanding and comprehensive understanding of the exam layout and marking scheme.
