Hi I'm Laura and I've always been fascinated by languages. This love for languages led me to becoming a language teacher where I can share my passion with students every day.

I am in my final, fourth year studying a Bachelor of Education with Irish and Spanish in DCU.

I have 4 years experience in secondary schools and teaching grinds to Primary, Junior and Leaving Cert students, both at higher and ordinary level.

As a teacher, I always put my students at the centre of their learning. I know their goals and do all that I can to ensure that they achieve them. I want to see my students progress, to develop all key language skills in an engaging and enjoyable way.

I understand that languages can be challenging so I ensure to create a supportive atmosphere in my classes. I want to make sure that my students understand that mistakes are an essential part of learning. I want to encourage them to ask questions, to gain confidence and to develop an appreciation for languages.
