Hi everyone, my name is Ava and I am a Science and Biology teacher. I graduated from the University of Limerick with a 1:1 degree in a Bachelor of Science with concurrent Teacher Education. I have experience in giving grinds both in person and online for the past 5 years. Many of my students have received H1 grades while others have improved from a H6 in the mock to a H3 in the exam. I focus and adapt my tutoring sessions to what each individual student wants and needs.
I use a variety of techniques in my teaching both in person and online. I have completed courses on study skills and techniques which I share with students to maximise their potential and results. The lesson is tailored to the students individual learning style and ability. The tutoring sessions focus on providing an in-depth understanding of each chapter with continuous reference to marking scheme in order to maximise results. I also offer students the opportunity to complete tests and I correct them as an examiner in order to track their progress. This is an option for students as it may not be in all students interests.I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals in Biology !
